Netherwood Review

So I promised everyone a review over Michele Lang's book NETHERWOOD, And a review you shall receive. It will not be a traditional review because quite frankly I suck at those. My friend actually doubled over when she heard I was doing this so bare with me.
I won’t sum up the plot because you can view that for yourselves at Amazon however, I will tell you what I liked about this book.

First off you need to understand that books are my only escape during the day. I work 9 to 5 and I get a hour lunch. Usually the only time I can afford to breathe easy and read is during this time. So I savor my books. A good book will only take me two days tops that being 2 hours total to read. This book was a great book. How do I measure that, simple I started off reading it last Wednesday and finished it by Wednesday night. This is the kind of book you tell the hubby to pick up Chinese because your not going to cook tonight.

It had action, romance, Robin Hood and his merry band of thieves. It had computers and scientific crap that only makes me feel stupid but I finally caught on to what was going on.
It starts off giving us a glimpse of what life will be like in the future where most of us interact on a grid. Do not ask me to explain what the grid is the only thing I could come up with was a version of 2nd life only more real. There we meet Talia Fortune who has one simple mission capture the cyber-outlaw Kovner. From the very beginning we are thrown into Talia’s world and we are unable to let go until the end. (I’m still mourning that the book is over hey Michele is there going to be a sequel mayhap?)

From the beginning we are thrown into a world of AI and computers (again don’t ask for explanation from if you want more ask Michele) and see what has happened to humans when they begin to rely on machines to do everything for them. This is a fantastic story with a creative world unique to Michele Lang. The world building is sensational the characterization is wonderful and the whole story is complete

If you like Science Fiction you will love this book for the sheer quality of the gizmos and gadgets (yes that is Sarai’s definition of scientific stuff). If you like Fantasy you will love this book for the world and cultures we are taken to. Even if you don’t like Science Fiction or Fantasy but love a good romance that is not like every other novel out there you must check out this book I promise you won’t regret
it!

This book sounds really good. I love Shomi's line of speculative romance. I'm definitely going to pick up Netherwood. Thanks so much for the heads up, Sarai. I'm calling today my day of futuristic romances! I even blogged about it on my blog.

I'm a huge Scifi fan and I've been watching Shomi for a while, wanting to give it a shot. This review may just move me in the right direction! Thank you for this! :D
